Westfield Youth Assistance Program Announces $12K Giving Tuesday Campaign Donation Match

WESTFIELD, INDIANA – Westfield Youth Assistance Program (WYAP) has launched its 2024 campaign leading up to Giving Tuesday on December 3. This year, WYAP’s goal is to raise $24,000 during its campaign to use for its programming and operations.

WYAP was founded in 2009 to assist youth and their families facing challenging life circumstances. WYAP has grown exponentially since its founding, paralleling the rapid expansion of Westfield. WYAP connects youth with services such as mentoring, tutoring, mental health counseling, summer camps, enrichment activities, and more. The funding for WYAP’s services is mainly through donations and sponsorships from members of the Westfield community.

For the last several years, WYAP has taken part in Giving Tuesday, “The Annual Day of Giving,” which asks people to take a moment during the holiday season to think about how they can give back to their community. This year, WYAP has been blessed by two anonymous donors who have come together to match up to $12,000 total.

“We are beyond grateful to our generous matching donors and all those who plan to donate to our Giving Tuesday campaign.” Tammy Havard, WYAP Board President, shares. “It is truly inspiring to see our community come together to make a lasting positive impact on our youth.”

In 2023, WYAP connected 30 youth with a mentor, served 64 youth with WYAP tutors, connected uninsured/underinsured youth with 456 individual/family therapy sessions, and provided 397 camp and enrichment activity opportunities for Westfield youth. These numbers grow yearly, and WYAP aims to continue meeting and fulfilling these needs. To help WYAP continue to serve Westfield youth and have your donation matched by our generous anonymous donors, please donate at https://westfieldyouth.kindful.com. The Giving Tuesday campaign is active through Saturday, December 7.
